WINNIPEG — Thousands of customers remain without power after a storm with heavy winds knocked out electricity in parts of Manitoba this week. Manitoba Hydro says crews were working overnight, but 6,500 people mostly in Winnipeg are still without power as of this morning. The Crown corporation says it expects those numbers to change throughout the day as crews continue repairs. It also says there may be additional outages for crews to safely repair damaged equipment. The public utility says that due to the extent of the damage, some people may still be without power tonight.
