Those looking to witness Christopher Nolan’s latest epic on its intended format will now have more time to do so. The Kramer IMAX Theatre announced Thursday that it will be adding more shows from Aug. 21 through Sept. 16 to keep up with the heightening demand. Regina hosts one of only 41 theatres across the globe capable of projecting the film on IMAX 70mm film. “The Odyssey is the movie event of 2026, and the best place to see it is at the Kramer IMAX Theatre,” the announcement read. Tickets for the film’s debut at the Kramer IMAX went on sale a year in advance, selling out quickly. The 11 miles of film making up the IMAX version of The Odyssey arrived in three separate crates, weighing nearly 600 pounds. Opening weekend saw 300 moviegoers from outside of Saskatchewan take their seats. Visitors hailed from five provinces and eight U.S. states, including Texas and North Carolina, with some travelling from as far away as Mexico and Japan. With files from Jacob Carr
