An earthquake in Washington State rattled parts of the Capital Region Thursday night.
The 3.6-magnitude quake struck at 8:55 p.m. near Port Ludlow on the Olympic Peninsula at a depth of 54 kilometres, according to Earthquakes Canada.
Earthquakes Canada said tremors were lightly felt in Victoria and Sidney.
Others on the South Island, including people from Oak Bay and Sooke, took to social media within minutes to report that they also felt shaking.
There were no reports of any damage and none was expected.
