The leaders of B.C.’s three biggest political parties will be going toe-to-toe next week in the only live and televised debate of the 2026 election.

NDP Leader David Eby, interim Conservative Leader Lorne Doerkson and Green Leader Emily Lowan are facing off on Oct. 14—10 days before the provincial election—in a debate moderated by Shachi Kurl, president of the Angus Reid Institute.

• The debate will be broadcast live on CTV News, the CTVNewsVancouver.ca website, Crave, YouTube and CFAX 1070 from 6:15 p.m. to 8 p.m.

The event is being hosted by the B.C. Broadcast Consortium, comprised of CTV News Vancouver, CBC B.C., Global B.C., CityNews and CHEK News.

Debate questions will cover a range of topics at the forefront of this fall’s snap election campaign.

The event will be followed by a post-debate news conference, where each of the three leaders will take questions from reporters.
