A pedestrian is dead after a collision involving a transport truck on Highway 404 in North York, Ontario Provincial Police say. Emergency crews responded to the collision near Finch Avenue at around 6 a.m. Saturday. OPP said the victim was an adult male and was pronounced dead following the collision. As a result, all southbound lanes at Finch Avenue were previously closed as investigators examined the scene. Those closures have since opened shortly after 11:30 a.m. Police say no foul play is suspected. Investigators are appealing to drivers who may have been travelling through the area around the time of the collision to check their vehicles for possible damage. Anyone who believes they may have been involved in the collision, witnessed it or has dashcam footage is asked to contact OPP or Crime Stoppers anonymously.
