The Edmonton Folk Music Festival has delayed its opening day by up to one hour on Thursday, meaning attendees won’t be able to enter Gallagher Park until around 5:30 p.m. Organizers said crews were still getting the site ready and “safe for entry” in a social media post a couple of hours before the four-day festival’s first night. “Gates will open half an hour to an hour late,” the post read. “The main stage is expected to start on schedule.” Gate hours for Folk Fest on Thursday and Friday are typically 4:30 p.m. to 11 p.m., with the main stage lineup opening just after 6 p.m.
