Canadians are being urged to “immediately stop using” a bathroom cleaning product because of improper labelling and packaging. In a consumer product recall published Tuesday by Health Canada, Ultra Big Blue Automatic Toilet Bowl Cleaner is being pulled from Canadian shelves as it “does not meet the labelling and child-resistant packaging requirements.” The federal agency warns the two issues could result in “unintentional exposure,” which could potentially lead to “serious illness or injury including death.” “The product consists of a solid chemical product in a plastic container with a perforated lid. For use, the product, with the lid on, is placed upright in the tank of the toilet and left in the tank until empty,” Health Canada wrote. According to the recall, more than 72,000 units of the products were sold in Canada between July 2020 and July 2026. As of July 28, 2026, the company said it had received no reports of incidents or injuries in the country. Health Canada encourages consumers to report any health or safety incidents involving the product through its Consumer Product Incident Report Form.
