Warning: Graphic content Alberta RCMP have arrested two people in connection with the discovery of human remains near the Bar U Ranch National Historic Site earlier this year. Vance Pidborochnyski, a 37-year-old man, and Shelby Filkowski, a 30-year-old woman, both from Lethbridge, are charged with first-degree murder in the death of Frans Fara, a 24-year-old Calgary man. On Feb. 4, first responders were called to a grass fire south of Eden Valley, near the historic site. The blaze began because of a burning vehicle and once extinguished, authorities discovered Fara’s remains inside. The nature of his death has not been released. RCMP have also not said anything about any relationship with the victim and two accused. Filkowski is expected to be in the Alberta Court of Justice in Okotoks on Oct. 30 while Pidborochynski will appear in Calgary on Nov. 5. Both accused remain in custody.
