Barrie Police say the Coroner’s office has confirmed the identity of both victims of a fatal house fire. Two men died in a Friday afternoon fire in the area of Alfred Street in central Barrie. On Tuesday, police identified a 63-year-old man as one of two victims. According to police, the man was found inside the home at the time of the fire and declared dead on scene by emergency crews. On Monday, police identified the second victim, a 76-year-old man who was found unresponsive and later died in hospital. Police have confirmed that the two men were brothers and lived in the home. The names of the deceased will not be shared out of respect for the families, police say. A cause of the fire has yet to be determined by the Ontario Fire Marshal.
