Police are searching for two people they believe have gone missing after a boating collision in Muskoka. The OPP says on Friday night at 10:40, officers responded to reports of a boat crash on Lake Rosseau, near Backenrig Bay. When crews arrived, they say they found a significantly damaged boat balancing on a rock ledge. The two people they think were aboard the vessel are the ones authorities say are missing. After searching extensively for the pair at the scene and surrounding area, police say they were unable to find them. The OPP says the search continues Saturday and the investigation remains ongoing. Authorities are asking the public to avoid the area while they continue looking.
