Dartmouth, N.S., man charged with child sexual abuse offences

A 31-year-old man is facing child sexual abuse charges after police searched a residence in Dartmouth, N.S., two months ago.

Police say they received information that a man was in possession of child sexual abuse and exploitation material in May.

They executed a search warrant at a Crystal Drive residence and seized several electronic devices, according to a news release from Halifax Regional Police.

Adrian Rioux is set to appear in court at a later date to face charges of:

• possession of child sexual abuse and exploitation material
• accessing child sexual abuse and exploitation material
• two counts of breach of probation order in relation to children
