British Columbia has seen a spike in international visitors in the first half of 2016.
According to Statistics Canada, more than two million tourists came to the province between January and June.
That’s a 12 per cent increase from the same time last year.
Tourism numbers show that the number of people visiting from the U.S., China and Mexico were up.
The provincial ministry responsible for tourism said several factors are contributing to the growth in numbers, including increased air access and a low Canadian dollar.
