The Windsor-Essex Children’s Aid Society is working to fill 700 backpacks for the kids it serves for the new school year. With the help of donations from National Bank and the Windsor-Essex County Association of Realtors, 600 backpacks have been filled. Children’s Aid is looking for 100 more backpacks and school supplies, such as coloured pencils, binders, and lined paper. In addition, it is $5,000 short of its fundraising goal and is looking for back-to-school snacks, like granola bars and snack packs. Bigger backpacks are preferred so they can fit all the supplies and shoes.
