The Windsor Police Service says it has charged a 61-year-old woman after kids were assaulted at a lemonade stand in Walkerville. On Aug. 3 around 9 p.m., police were called to the 900 block of Gladstone Avenue. They said an 8-year-old boy and a 13-year-old boy set up a lemonade stand near Gladstone and Niagara Street, when a woman approached them and became hostile. Officers said the woman pushed one child and flipped the other child’s chair, causing him to fall. Both kids sustained minor injuries. The WPS found and arrested a suspect at a home in the 1200 block of Niagara Street later that night. A 61-year-old woman has now been charged with two counts of assault.
