The City of Victoria is inviting residents to weigh in on how it should regulate medical marijuana dispensaries.
The city says there are now about 30 medical pot-related businesses in town.
All the storefronts are considered illegal, but with the federal government expected to make changes to marijuana regulations, most police departments are allowing them to stay open.
The requirements include, among other things, that the storefronts must be at least 200 metres from schools and are only open for certain hours.
The city is hosting an open house and town hall Feb. 22 for residents to give feedback.
They can also take an online survey on the City of Victoria’s website to weigh in.
