A motorcyclist was rushed to the hospital following a collision in Uxbridge late Tuesday afternoon. The crash happened on Regional Highway 47. Durham Regional Police Service said they were called to that area at around 4:20 p.m. for reports of a collision involving a motorcycle and a vehicle. They say the person operating the motorcycle was taken to the hospital with serious, potentially life-threatening, injuries, police say. Currently, the eastbound lanes of Regional Highway 47 are closed between Paisley Lane and Uxbridge Concession Road 2 as police investigate. Motorists are being asked to find an alternate route.
