A woman from British Columbia is facing charges after a traffic stop in Saskatchewan uncovered a large amount of cocaine. Saskatchewan RCMP reported that on July 29, officers stopped an SUV on Highway 1 near Indian Head for a driver’s licence, registration and sobriety check. According to police, officers determined there were likely drugs in the vehicle and arrested the driver as a result. During a search of the vehicle, officers found and seized 10.25 kilograms of cocaine and a sum of cash. A 33-year-old woman from Windermere, B.C. faces one count of possessing property obtained by crime less or equal to $5,000 and one count of possessing cocaine for the purpose of trafficking. The accused made her first appearance in Fort Qu’Appelle on July 30.
