Nishnawbe Aski Police searched a home in North Spirit Lake First Nation on July 13 and charged three people after seizing crack cocaine worth $60,000, police said in a news release Tuesday. “Following their search of the home, police located and seized a quantity of suspected crack cocaine, cash, and paraphernalia consistent with drug trafficking and three suspects were located and arrested without incident,” police said. Two people from North Spirit Lake have been charged with drug trafficking and possession of proceeds from crime, while a man from Fort St. James, B.C., also faces similar charges. Police said three people will appear in court at a later date.
