An 11-year-old passenger was killed Monday evening after a passenger vehicle and a dump truck collided on Highway 17 near North Bay, Ont. The Ontario Provincial Police said the crash took place around 5:20 p.m. on Highway 17 in East Ferris Township. “An 11-year-old passenger from North Bay was transported to hospital with life-threatening injuries and was later pronounced deceased,” police said in a news release. “Two other occupants of the passenger vehicle were transported to hospital with non-life-threatening injuries.” The OPP traffic incident management and enforcement team helped with the investigation.
