Two people suffered serious injuries after crashing their vehicle into a hydro pole on Tuesday. The crash happened at the intersection of Old Richmond Road and Fallowfield Road at around 5:20 a.m. Ottawa paramedic spokesperson Marc-Antoine Deschamps told CTV News Ottawa there were two people in the car, a man and a woman, and both suffered serious but non-life-threatening injuries. Ottawa Fire Services said firefighters were called to the scene by Ottawa police to aid in extricating the two people trapped in the vehicle. It took approximately 15 minutes to get both people safely out of the vehicle. They were taken to the hospital in serious condition. Ottawa police have closed a section of Fallowfield Road between Eagleson Road and Old Richmond Road because of the crash. Drivers are asked to avoid the area.
