A major American hardware chain is setting up shop on Vancouver Island and it’s looking to fill more than 150 positions.
Construction is fully underway on the new Lowe’s store at Tillicum Mall in Saanich.
Crews have been working for the past two-and-a-half months on a $3 million transformation of the former Target and Zellers location.
Lowe’s will be holding a Career Fair inside Tillicum Mall from August 12-13.
The hardware store will create 160 permanent positions and 10 seasonal roles.
Management staff will be onsite during the fair to accept applications and conduct on-the-spot interviews.
This will be the company’s first location in Victoria under the Lowe’s banner and is among four new locations set to open in the province this year.
The store will be up and running by late fall.
