The Nova Scotia RCMP is investigating a theft at a Yarmouth, N.S., jewelry store on Aug. 3. Police responded to a report of the theft around 4:55 p.m. The RCMP says in a news release two men distracted a staff member at the business on Main Street, then “stole jewellery worth tens of thousands of dollars.” Officers are now asking the public for information related to the investigation and have released photos of two “persons of interest.” Police say both men had dark hair and facial hair and were roughly five-foot-10 inches tall. One man was wearing glasses, a tan ball cap with a beer logo and a “The Simpsons” T-shirt. He had a mole on the right side of his face. The second man was wearing a black Guess T-shirt and a black Adidas ball cap. Anyone with information is asked to contact Yarmouth Town RCMP at 902-742-8777.
