Annapolis Valley man wanted on provincewide warrant arrested: N.S. RCMP

A man from Melvern Square, N.S., who was wanted on a provincewide warrant has been arrested.

David James Bishop, 44, is facing charges of:

• three counts of endangering the life of any person
• two counts of uttering threats to cause death or bodily harm
• two counts of possession of a weapon for a dangerous purpose
• possess firearm while prohibited
• possess prohibited weapon
• using firearm in commission of offence
• careless use of a firearm
• without lawful excuse, point a firearm
• two counts of possession of a prohibited or restricted firearm with ammunition
• two counts of unauthorized possession of a firearm
• two counts of possession of firearm knowing possession is unauthorized
• two counts of unauthorized possession of a firearm in a motor vehicle
• uses violence to a person or that person’s property
• mischief that causes actual danger to life
• failing to comply with condition of undertaking

The Nova Scotia RCMP issued a news release Wednesday alerting the public that Bishop was wanted on a warrant. The day before, police shared a post on social media saying they were looking for a man with a similar description who was “evading arrest” in the Wilmot area of the Annapolis Valley.
