A man is recovering after his car crashed into a lamp post in Nanaimo Sunday afternoon.
Nanaimo fire says the accident happened at Cypress St. and Terminal Ave around 2:30 p.m.

Fire officials say the man was conscious when he was extricated from the car.
He was transported to Nanaimo Regional Hospital with unknown injuries.
The man was travelling alone and no other vehicles were involved in the crash.
The cause is under investigation.
