A man was found dead after fire tore through a fifth-wheel trailer on Denman Island Wednesday night.
Comox Valley RCMP say they were notified of the fire in the 5300-block of Denman Road at 6:14 p.m, in an area known as Coho Landing.
A local fire chief called in for assistance from Coastal Fire Centre and said an attack helicopter was on scene within minutes, due to fears that the blaze would spread to the nearby forest.
After the fire was taken care of, first responders found a deceased man inside of the trailer.
His identity hasn’t been released and police say the cause of the fire is not yet known.
Comox Valley RCMP and the BC Coroners Service are investigating the blaze.
