Tens of thousands of people will crowd Victoria’s Inner Harbour for the big finale of Canada 150 celebrations on Saturday.
A number of events are scheduled throughout the day, including the annual living flag photo at 2 p.m. on the lawn of the legislature and multiple performances at Ship Point.

The Arkells are headlining the main stage show starting at 9:15 p.m.
The band from Hamilton, Ontario will be doing an acoustic rehearsal pop up at the intersection of Belleville and Government at 2 p.m.

Police will be out in full force and are reminding people to leave liquor and large bags at home.
BC Transit is rolling out dozens of extra buses to manage the crowds.
“Buses are going to be running a bit slower than they normally would,” said manager David Guthrie. “There will be a lot of people, a lot of happy people on them.”
The Canada Day celebration will end with fireworks at 10:15 p.m.
