Foul play isn’t a factor after the bodies of an adult man and woman were found inside of an SUV near Campbell River Wedneday night, according to RCMP.

Police said the bodies were discovered just after 5:30 p.m. in the 3800-block of Island Highway South.

Neighbours told CTV News they heard sirens and saw officers surrounding a car parked facing toward the ocean.

They said the car had been there for at least two days.

The case has since been turned over to the BC Coroners Service.

Officials said they would not release the identities of the deceased.
