RCMP have arrested an inmate who escaped from the Milner Ridge Correctional Centre Wednesday evening. The Lac du Bonnet detachment was told around 9 p.m. a prisoner escaped from the correctional centre and was last seen northeast of the facility. The prisoner was identified as Justin Paul. According to court records, Paul had previous weapons, assault, and firearms convictions dating back to 2003. He also has multiple outstanding charges, including assault, theft, robbery, and weapons possession. RCMP said around 11 a.m. Thursday, officers found Paul near Highway 11 and Minnewawa Street W in Lac du Bonnet and he was arrested. RCMP thank the public for their assistance with the situation.
