The president and CEO of Manitoba Hydro is leaving the role after two years. Hydro announced on Friday that Allan Danroth has left for personal reasons. “Allan led us through some important changes to our operations, including major improvements to our safety culture and work to replace our aging SAP software, among other initiatives,” said Jamie Wilson, the chair of the Manitoba Hydro-Electric board, in a news release. “We wish him well in his future endeavours.” Replacing Danroth in the interim will be Hal Turner, Hydro’s chief operating officer. Turner has been part of Manitoba Hydro since 1995. The board will soon start the process to find the next president and CEO, Wilson said. “While we get started on that critical work, the board has full confidence in Hal Turner, a Hydro veteran with more than 30 years of experience at the corporation, to successfully lead us through this transitional period.” More details to come.
