In an effort to make performances more accessible, the Winspear Centre and the Edmonton Symphony Orchestra (ESO) will be offering affordable ticket options to eligible individuals and families. The Ticket Assistance Program offers a limited number of heavily discounted tickets to those facing financial barriers that would otherwise impede them from attending an ESO concert. “We believe every human needs music,” said Annemarie Leenhouts-Petrov, president and CEO of the Winspear and ESO. “Live music gives meaning to our lives and a vital connection to others. “Through this program, we’re helping ensure that financial circumstances are not a barrier to experiencing the joy of an ESO concert.” The program is funded by existing municipal, provincial and federal support programs. Tickets are $28 for eligible patrons for a wide range of select shows including Classics, Symphony for Kids, and Robbins Pops series concerts.
