The Windsor Police Service is searching for a driver wanted in a hit-and-run of a 17-year-old. The incident took place in the 2600 block of Howard Avenue on Aug. 9 just after 9:30 p.m. Police said four teenagers were crossing the road when a vehicle headed southbound at a high rate of speed hit the girl. She sustained non-life-threatening injuries. The suspect’s vehicle is described as a newer-model grey Ford Escape. Officers are asking residents and drivers in the area to check surveillance and dash cam footage for any evidence, specifically between 9 p.m. and 10 p.m. on Aug. 9.
