The Windsor mother-son duo, Ameen and Surria Fadel, have been eliminated from the Amazing Race Canada. The two were sent home in Tuesday’s episode in a rate double-elimination in the eighth leg. “It really sucks to have to watch it again and relive the moment, because it was so hard just to hear Jon [Montgomery] say that we’ve been eliminated,” said Surria. “But a relief that now we don’t have to keep pretending that we’re still in it. And people asking us, ‘did you win the whole thing and how far did you go?’” Ameen added the family watched the episode together with family and friends who didn’t know the outcome, on the edge of their seats. “Just seeing that final race to the mat was pretty tough and all the emotions came back and it sucked to relive,” he said. “But I agree, now it’s over. We think we represented ourselves and our community well and we ran a good race, gave it our all 100 per cent of the time and had the time of our lives.
