North Cowichan and Duncan RCMP continue to look for information on a Vancouver Island man who disappeared 10 years ago.
Desmond Peter was 14 years old when he went missing in March 2007.
He was last seen at the old Malaspina College in Duncan on Cowichan Way near the Trans-Canada Highway, police say.
Officials received a number of possible sightings of the First Nations man over the years, but none of them were confirmed.
Cowichan RCMP say the investigation into Peter’s disappearance remains open.
The RCMP along with the Cowichan Valley Search and Rescue have conducted land, air and water searches of the areas where it’s believed he may have been.
Mounties, the Canada Missing Children’s Society, Cowichan Tribes as well as family and friends continue to work together to uncover any information that may lead to Peter’s whereabouts.
At the time of his disappearance Peter was 5’6”, had brown eyes, dark brown hair and some facial stubble. He was known to wear a dark-coloured hoodie and went by several nicknames, including Desi, Desmond Louie and Casey Louie.
Anyone with information is asked to contact North Cowichan/Duncan RCMP at (250) 748-5522 or Crime Stoppers at 1-800-222-8477.
