A man is fighting for his life in hospital following a collision involving a motorcycle and a car in Brampton on Monday night. Peel Regional Police say the crash happened near Steeles Avenue East and Bramalea Road. They say officers responded to that area after receiving reports of a motorcycle that had collided with a car. The driver of the motorcycle sustained serious injuries and was transported to a local trauma centre, they said. The driver of the car has minor injuries. Paramedics, meanwhile, said they were called to the area of Steeles Avenue West and Torbram Road at 7:40 pm. and transported an adult male to a trauma centre, with serious, life-threatening injuries. A female driver of a vehicle was assessed on scene for minor injuries, they said. Currently, Steeles Avenue West is closed in both directions between Bramalea Road and Melanie Drive. Police say motorists should expect delays in the area and are asking them to choose an alternate route.
