Three women are about to find out the high cost of driving impaired in Huntsville. A young woman ditched a car last Monday at around 9:20 p.m. on Highway 60. By the time the Huntsville Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) arrived, she had driven away but pulled over to the side of the road a short time later. A 27-year-old Waterloo woman was charged with two counts of operating motor vehicle while impaired. Then on Friday, police were summoned to a disturbance on Bear Cave Road in Huntsville. After speaking with the driver, police charged a 30-year-old Parry Sound woman with two impaired driving charges. Additionally, on Saturday at 10:10 pm, police pulled over a car on Greer Road in Huntsville. A 28-year-old Huntsville woman was charged with impaired driving charges. All three women were released from custody and are scheduled to appear before the Ontario Court of Justice in Bracebridge in September.
