The annual Tall Tree Music Festival in Port Renfrew is offering an exchange program for Pemberton ticket holders, after the event was suddenly cancelled earlier this month.
People with passes to the Pemberton Music Festival can exchange their tickets for a general admission Tall Tree Festival pass.
Organizers say the festival will honour up to 250 ticket exchange inquiries and the program will work on a first-come, first-serve basis.
“Tall Tree believes strongly in the bringing together of people and music to celebrate life on the west coast,” said Emmalee Brunt, PR and Communications Manager for Tall Tree Music Festival.
The Vancouver Island event says it understands the challenges of operating multi-day festivals, but doesn’t agree with a no-refunds policy on a cancelled event.
“As far as size is concerned, Tall Tree operates on a much smaller scale than Pemberton,” said Brunt. “Our offer of 250 tickets is substantial for us, but we believe strongly that this is the right move.”
The ticket exchange does not cover camping and early access.
This year’s event runs from June 23-26 and will feature performances by Tokyo Police Club, Pigeon Hole and Youngblood.
