West Shore RCMP are investigating after several light standards and a control box were tampered with at Colwood Creek Park early Friday morning.
Mounties were contacted after a person reported seeing several street light posts with wires exposed around the park on Sun Ridge Valley Drive.
The City of Colwood estimates damages to exceed $5,000.
The Island District RCMP Forensic Identification Section is assisting with the investigation.
Anyone who saw suspicious activity in the park overnight is asked to contact West Shore RCMP at 250-474-2264 or Crime Stoppers at 1-800-222-8477.
