Mount Washington says it is mourning a staff member who was killed in a rollover crash near the ski resort late Monday night.
North Island Traffic Services says the crash happened just before midnight on the Mount Washington Parkway near Nordic Drive.
A pickup truck with three people inside was heading down from the mountain when it rolled over, killing a man in his 30s at the scene.
Another man and a woman who sustained minor injuries were sent to hospital for treatment and have since been released.
Investigators say speed was likely a factor, and believe the driver was not wearing a seatbelt.
Mount Washington confirmed that the crash involved staff members who were not recently on-shift.
"Our resort family is grieving over the loss of our member after last night's tragedy. Our thoughts are with the family and friends and our staff members - we are deeply saddened by this loss," said Mount Washington spokesperson Sheila Rivers.
An investigation into the crash is ongoing.
