Police units including a dive team converged on an area near the Gorge Waterway in connection with the disappearance of a 26-year-old man on the weekend.
Officers from Victoria and Saanich police as well as a Metchosin Search and Rescue team could be seen in the area of Banfield Park late Thursday afternoon.
SAR members set up a full-field operations site on Raynor Avenue near Banfield Park.
It's the same area where missing 26-year-old man Duncan Pucker was last seen in the early hours of Sunday morning.
Pucker was last seen in the 900-block of Arm Street, near Selkirk Avenue, Sunday at 3:30 a.m. Police and his family say they're concerned for his welfare.
He's described as a slim white man, standing 6'2" tall with brown hair and blue eyes.
He was last seen wearing a floral blue dress shirt and dark jeans, possibly with a black pea cost.
