Saskatoon police are investigating the city’s 10th homicide of 2026 after a man found injured in the city’s northwest died Saturday morning. Officers were called to the area of 71st Street East and Lipsett Crescent at about 7 a.m. after receiving a report of an injured man. Members of the Saskatoon Police Service and Saskatoon Fire Department attempted life-saving measures after arriving at the scene, but the man died from his injuries. Police say the area has since been cleared and all traffic restrictions have been lifted. The investigation has been turned over to the major crime section. The victim’s identity has not been released and police are asking anyone with information to contact them.
