A trio in Saskatoon are facing 40 total charges following an illicit drugs and firearms investigation. At around 10:00 p.m. on Sept. 11, members of the Saskatoon Police Service (SPS) Guns and Gangs Unit executed a search warrant at a home on the 400 block of Schmeiser Bend. Police seized two 9mm restricted Glock handguns, a prohibited semi-automatic rifle, ammunition, over $325,000 in Canadian currency, a Hyundai Tucson, over 17 pounds of soft cocaine, over 20 pounds of methamphetamine, and 760 Dilaudid 8 polls. A 30-year-old man and a 23-year-old man face drug, weapons and proceeds of crime offences. Warrants have been requested for a 30-year-old woman. The SPS Drug Unit, Tactical Support Unit and National Weapons Enforcement Support Team also took part in the bust.
