You may want to plan an alternate route if you’re heading out on the roads. Police say the southbound lanes of Highway 11 have closed at Memorial Avenue in Orillia due to downed power lines. A spokesperson for the OPP says the power lines were struck by a large vehicle and police are looking for the vehicle. The closure happened at around 3 p.m. on Thursday and lanes reopened at 3:30 p.m. Further north on the highway at Telford Line in Ardtrea, a crash involving a transport truck has caused some lane restrictions while crews clean up concrete debris. Police say there are no injuries in either incident.
