Amalgamation is being floated again, this time it’s coming in the form of a Victoria council motion for a regional police force.
The city is calling on the province to establish and fund a citizens amalgamation group.
The motion asks Victoria’s mayor to reach out to the surrounding communities to get the ball rolling on a regional police force.
No timeline has been set.
