The space formerly occupied by Nordstrom at the CF Rideau Centre in downtown Ottawa will have new tenants by next spring. A wrap has appeared on the wall blocking construction at the site, advertising the opening of West Elm, Pottery Barn, and Williams Sonoma stores in spring 2027. The large anchor spot in the mall has been unoccupied since 2023 after Nordstrom shut down Canadian operations. Williams Sonoma is a U.S.-based high-end home furnishings, cookware and appliances retailer that also owns and operates West Elm and Pottery Barn. It has locations in Toronto, Calgary, Vancouver, and Montreal. The company also operates in the U.K. and Australia. No formal announcements have been made by the company or the mall; however, signs on the wall outside the storefront indicate that the company is now hiring. The downtown Ottawa mall also recently announced a Dollarama store is slated to open this fall.
