A woman is in hospital with serious injuries following an early-morning assault in Saskatoon. Around 1:40 a.m. Sept. 16, police were called to a disturbance outside an apartment building in the 500 block of 24th Street East. Police arrived to find a 55-year-old woman suffering from a serious injury. A 69-year-old male suspect was found nearby and arrested. Police also found he was in possession of methamphetamine. The man now faces charges of aggravated assault, breach of probation and possession of methamphetamine.
