Three people suffered minor injuries when an SUV ploughed through a fence at a View Royal elementary school.
Police were quick to confirm no students were struck by the SUV, contrary to reports circulating on social media.
The vehicle reportedly struck a pickup truck on Helmcken Road, sending it through the fence and down an embankment into the school’s parking lot.
Police cordoned off part of the parking lot as they investigated – the chaotic scene unfolding just as students were being dismissed from school.
Paramedics treated three people at the scene for their injuries.
Witnesses said at least two were transported by ambulance to hospital.
