The man accused of killing two men and attempting to kill two others at a Nanaimo Mill in 2014 says he is not guilty.
Kevin Addison entered not guilty pleas to all charges at the Nanaimo Courthouse Tuesday, nearly two-and-a-half years after the deadly shooting at Western Forest Products rocked the mid-Island.
Michael Lunn, 61, and Fred McEachern, 53, were killed on April 30, 2014, when a gunman opened fire at the mill.
Tony Sudar and Earl Kelly were also injured in the shooting.
Addison is charged with two counts of first-degree murder and two counts of attempted murder.
Western Forest Products has previously stated that the accused is a former mill employee.
In court, a large group of potential juror were split into three groups of 25. Each took the witness stand and were asked a series of questions.
Two triars, lawyers, and the supreme court justice then determined whether they were fit to be jurors.
The 12-person jury is made up of six women and six men.
The trial will get underway Wednesday morning.
