The City of Sarnia is reminding the community to practice good trail etiquette to ensure everyone’s safety and enjoyment. “Our trails are a great asset to the community that bring people together and encourage healthy and active lifestyles,” said Alister Brown, manager of development and transportation. “Part of trail use is shared responsibility and respect so that everyone can stay safe and enjoy their time outside.” Trail users are reminded to: Sarnia maintains all trails that connect neighbourhoods, parks, waterfront spaces, and natural areas. That includes Howard Watson Nature Trail, Midtown Trail, Canatara Park Trails, and the Centennial Waterfront Trail. E-bikes that meet Ontario’s definition of a power-assisted bike are permitted on city trails and paths; riders should travel at a safe speed, yield appropriately, and pass with care while following all etiquette practices listed above.
