We are getting some idea of what happened aboard the Leviathan II, moments before the whale-watching vessel overturned northwest of Tofino.
The Transportation Safety Board says preliminary evidence shows most of the 24 passengers and three crew members were on the upper left deck of the 20-metre vessel on Sunday when a large wave hit on the opposite side -- tilting and then rolling the ship.
Investigators say the boat's centre of gravity was affected by the lopsided passenger weight, but divers will be back in the water today, hoping to strip electronics from the partially submerged ship in order to get more information on its exact location.
Five people -- all British nationals -- died and a sixth person, an Australian man, is still missing.
