Oxford County Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) are investigating after a two-vehicle collision took place in East Zorra-Tavistock. Police said the incident on Highway 59 between Cassel Sideroad and Oxford Road 8 sometime overnight before 6:30 a.m. Thursday. “Highway 59 in East Zorra-Tavistock is closed between Cassel Sideroad and Oxford Road 8 due to a serious two-vehicle collision. A fluid spill has also been reported in the area,” OPP said in a media release. The extent of any injuries is currently unknown. Drivers are being urged to make alternate plans and avoid the area, as investigators expect the closure to be lengthy. An investigation is still ongoing.
